Dr Shushant VC Parashar is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS). Previously, he worked as an Associate Fellow at the National Maritime Foundation (NMF). He has completed his PhD in Political Science at Amity University (thesis titled “Environmental Security Policy in South Asia: A Case Study of India and Bhutan”). His research interests here at CLAWS range from national security, nuclear deterrence, internal security, non-traditional threats, statecraft-non-military, Pakistan, and the history of relations with our neighbours. Apart from his PhD, Dr Parashar holds an MPhil degree in South and Southeast Asian Studies from the University of Madras, an M.A. degree in South Asian Studies from Pondicherry University, and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and Mass Communication from Amity University along with a PG Diploma in English Journalism from IIMC, Delhi.
